Park Lane 7 was a rock band founded in 1997 from the Bad Mergentheim district of Wachbach.

history

The band was founded in 1997 under the name Nevermind by Daniel Striffler ( vocals , guitar ), Neal Murphy (guitar), Wolfgang Bürckert ( bass ) and Christian Heigl ( drums ).

In 1998 the band won the Radio Ton band competition . Shortly after this success, the band released their first EP called Good Times . Several live performances followed in 2001 (including at VIVA ). In the Netzparade of the radio station DASDING , the band was represented in the top 10 for several weeks with the song Losing Myself . In 2004 the band produced their second EP PL 7 . The song Mr. Perfect stayed in the top 3 of the Dasding Netzparade for over 6 months and was voted one of the most popular songs of 2005. The band made it into the sponsorship program of the John Lennon Talent Awards 2005/2006 and played at the Taubertal Festival with Mando Diao , Oomph! , Silbermond , H-Blockx , Die Happy , Gunslinger and Clawfinger .

In 2006 the band released their third EP with New Generation . The music video for the song Mr. Perfect won 2nd place at the Animago Award , where Depeche Mode had to admit defeat. The video won the German Rock and Pop Prize 2006 in the categories of Best Rock Song and Best Video , and the band also won the Best Rock Band prize .

In 2009 the band was represented in the final at MyVideo MusicStar with the video Mr. Perfect , where they took 2nd place and won 5000 euros from SellaBand . Neal Murphy left the band in June 2009. In 2011 the band announced their breakup.
