Park Sung-baek (born February 27, 1985 in Seoul ) is a South Korean cyclist .

Athletic career

Park began his career in 2004. In his first year, he won two stages in the Tour de Hokkaidō and the overall ranking of the Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup , as well as the year after. He also won a section each of the Tour of Siam and the Tour de Korea . In 2006 Park Sung-baek won two stages in the Tour of Thailand . At the Asian Games in the same year he secured the bronze medal in the road race and he was fourth in the team time trial. A season later, the South Korean won two stages in the Tour of East Java and one in the Cepa Tour . In 2007 and 2008 he was national road champion. In 2012 he won the Tour de Korea.

On the track, Park won six gold medals at continental level. In 2005 he was Asian champion in the elimination stage , in 2011 , 2012 and 2013 in the team pursuit . At the Asian Games in 2006 he won the two-man team driving with Jang Sun-jae and the team pursuit with Hwang In-hyeok , Jang Sun-jae and Kim Dong-hun .

In 2008 and 2012 , Park started in the road race of the Olympic Games. In 2008 in Beijing he finished 87th, in 2012 in London he could not finish the race.
