At the latest now the old spectrum of parties has been replaced. The Liberals have now been voted out and the PSI became the strongest party for the first time. The election to the German National Assembly and the election to the Constituent National Assembly in Austria in 1919 showed similar gains for the Social Democrats, Catholics and left-wing liberals and losses of the previous governing parties or parties loyal to the government (mostly national liberal-conservative).
