Partenope - Musica per la sirena di Napoli (German: "Partenope - Music for the Siren of Naples") is an opera by the Italian composer Ennio Morricone . The libretto is by Guido Barbieri and Sandro Cappelletto. It was written in 1996/97 and premiered in Palermo in 1998.

The opera is about the siren Parthenope, venerated as the city goddess in Naples . She is responsible for good morals, but commits suicide when she is in danger of falling into love herself. It falls to the point where Naples will be founded.
