The Partido de Convergência Democrática - Grupo de Reflexão (PCD) ( German Democratic Convergence Party - Group of Reflection ) is a party based on São Tomé and Príncipe . PCD won the first free elections in 1991 with an absolute majority and has since been represented in the Assembléia Nacional, the National Assembly of São Tomé and Príncipe .

founding

After the referendum in August 1990 introduced the multiparty system in São Tomé and Príncipe, dissidents and former party members founded the Movimento de Libertação de São on November 4, 1990 under the leadership of Leonel Mário d'Alva , the first Prime Minister of the free São Tomé and Príncipes Tomé e Príncipe (MLSTP) together with Independent Partido de Convergência Democrática - Grupo de Reflexão (PCD).
