Kumar Sen is in love with his girlfriend Asha, who has now returned to Bombay . He has already asked for her hand from her uncle Ashok Varma, who raised Asha. There she fell in love with Rajeshwar, whom she now absolutely wants to marry.
Your uncle even gave his consent. Kumar's attempts to change Ashok's mind lead to an argument. Out of desperation and driven by jealousy, he kills Ashok and wants to blame Rajeshwar for everything.
Kumar tries in vain to win Asha's love for himself. She only gets involved with Kumar when he promises her not to kill Rajesh. Kumar slowly realizes that Asha only loves Rajeshwar. He confesses in writing to Ashok's murder and gives his confession to Rajesh in order to then shoot himself.
