The Pasinger Stadtpark is a park in the south of the Munich district of Pasing . It is called Stadt-Park because when it was founded in 1929, this park was still the park of the then independent town of Pasing - that is, before it was incorporated on April 1, 1938.

The park that King Maximilian I had laid out on Planegger Strasse at the corner of Graefstrasse in 1815 around his country palace , the Prinz-Carl-Schlösschen , the predecessor of today 's Gatterburg Palace , can be seen as the forerunner of the city park .

In 1929, the Passionist Order of the Parish Church of the Birth of Mary took over the Park and Gatterburg and pushed through the municipal administration of the then still independent city of Pasing that the two streets crossing the park, Gatterburgstrasse and Gatterburgsche Allee, were canceled. To compensate for this, the city of Pasing was given large parts of the park - this is the birth of the city park. Five years later the park was expanded further. Due to the closure of the former paper mill, an expansion took place in 2004 .

The Pasinger Stadtpark begins on the city limits of Lochham , runs along the forest colony of the architect Louis Ende , which was built on the model of the villa colonies by August Exter , and ends after about 1.5 kilometers at the Pasing district hospital. The park has an area of almost 20 hectares and extends on both sides of the Würm . The old parish church of the Birth of Mary connects the city park with the monastery garden .

Similar to its "big brother", the Englischer Garten in Munich, the Pasing City Park is laid out as a landscape garden: wide meadows alternate with groups of trees and the Würm is artificially dammed up into several small lakes.

The Pasinger Stadtpark is a monument (D-1-62-000-5156) and is located in the Würmniederung landscape protection area with extensions to the city limits (LSG-00120.19).

In the south, in the area of the municipality of Gräfelfing, is the Paul-Diehl-Park .
