Passiericket is a rock band from Hamburg , Germany . On the one hand they are in the tradition of Krautrock , on the other hand they let elements of New Wave , Dub , Free Jazz and contemporary electronics flow into their spontaneous compositions. Passiermarke describe the style of their music as psyched-electronic spontaneous composition. To date, thirteen self-published CDs and two online albums have been released.

Passiericket was founded in the mid-1980s. The band name refers to a street of the same name in the port of Hamburg. It was here in the 19th century that emigrants had to show their papers for the last time in order to finally get on the ship that was supposed to bring them to America. The band's practice studio was also located on this street for eleven years.

In 2004 and 2005 they gave several concerts with Damo Suzuki , the singer of the style-forming herb rock band Can . Between 2006 and 2009 they performed regularly with Lothar Meid , who as a member of Embryo , Amon Düül II , Klaus Doldingers Passport and Marius Müller-Westernhagen has made a significant contribution to the development of rock music in Germany.

In 2007 three remixes of pieces of passier slip were released on the CD Illegal Immigrants by the London dub collective Urban Dub. Passiermarke singer Thomas Piesbergen recorded 4 pieces for another Urban Dub CD with Rupert French in his studio in London in spring 2007, which are to appear on the next Urban Dub album.

Since 2013 the band has been playing regularly with the multi-instrumentalist Hannes Wienert and integrating more and more elements from free jazz into their sound.

The band appears regularly at various happenings and almost always combines their concerts with presentations by artists from other media such as B. dance , action painting , light installation etc. In June 2008 they performed z. B. with the Japanese butoh dancer Mayumi Fukuzaki, who became famous for her performance with the legendary Shibusa Shirazu from Tokyo. In 2016 they were an integral part of several installations by the visual artist Adriane Steckhan.

For the film , the gas man of Arne grains several pieces were used by Passierzettel first as source music. In 2018 they also recorded a number of pieces for the score.
