Patrice Bianchi (born April 10, 1969 in Bourg-Saint-Maurice ) is a former French ski racer . He almost exclusively drove slalom , and occasionally giant slalom .

biography

After he was mainly used in the European Cup at the beginning of his career , Bianchi took part in the World Cup from 1989 . He scored his first World Cup points on January 6, 1990 as 14th in the Kranjska Gora slalom . Two months later the first place in the top ten followed in Veysonnaz . At the 1991 World Championships in Saalbach-Hinterglemm , he finished seventh.

Bianchi had his most successful season in 1991/92: He won in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and came second in Kitzbühel , making him the fifth best slalom driver in the world at the end of the season. At the Olympic Games in 1992, which took place in his closer home, he was eliminated. He celebrated another World Cup victory on December 15, 1992 in the slalom of the 3-Tre race in Madonna di Campiglio . At the end of the 1993/94 season he resigned from top-class sport.
