Patrich (settlement)
Patrich is a settlement in the town of Treuchtlingen in the district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen in Central Franconia .
The settlement is located northwest of the old town and above the core town on a western slope, at an altitude of around 518 meters above sea level and is only connected to Treuchtlingen in the south. It is almost completely enclosed by forest. To the south lies Treuchtlingen Castle , to the north-west of the Viersteinberg and the eponymous Patrich , which form a double peak on the edge of the Hahnenkamm . Not far to the west is the desert brickworks .
State road 2216 runs through the settlement and leads from Treuchtlingen over the Grüntäle towards Auernheim . At the end of each settlement, the settlement is indicated with a place-name sign along the road . However, Patrich is not an official district of the city of Treuchtlingen.
The Patrichsiedlung was laid out in the 1930s under Mayor Andreas Güntner and expanded into a housing estate after the Second World War . Originally it was completely enclosed by the St 2216, from the 1990s the settlement area Im Winkel west of the state road was added.
In Patrich there is a branch of the University of Applied Management and the St. Mark's Church .
