Patricia Cammarata (* 1975 ), also known by her online pseudonym dasnuf , is a German author, blogger and podcaster . In the German-speaking world, she is best known for her articles on child-rearing issues and digital media, privacy on the Internet as well as mental load and equality.

Career

Cammarata obtained her diploma in psychology from the Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg in 2000 . In the same year she received an e-fellows scholarship. She worked as an IT project manager for more than twelve years, currently she is employed by a facility management company and is part of business development there, where she deals with future trends and digitization topics.

She has been writing online on various topics since the early 2000s, has blogged regularly since 2004 and is one of the best-known German bloggers. In the 2010s in particular, Cammarata gained increased attention, primarily through its popular blog and its contributions to various media. She wrote for various magazines and newspapers such as n-tv , Zeit Online , Handelsblatt , Nido , Brigitte Mom , Jako-o etc. In 2014 and 2015, Cammarata was honored with the award "Golden Blogger" for her blog and book thus one of the so-called "influencers of the year". She was nominated a total of four times.

Since 2015 she has been a permanent member of the podcast “Der Weisheit”, which was initiated by Marcus Richter and is also broadcast on Radio Bremen . In 2017 she started the podcast “Living with children” together with Caspar Clemens Mierau . Since 2019, the SCHAU HIN! sponsored media education podcast "Just 30 minutes" broadcast weekly. It can also be heard in various other podcasts as well as in radio broadcasts on Deutschlandradios. Furthermore, Cammarata frequently appears as a speaker at conferences, including the re: publica and the Gamescom Congress.

For 2020/21 she was appointed to the expert jury of the German Computer Game Award in the category “Best Family Game”.

In 2015, Cammarata published her first book with the title “Very happy, Mama, you ass bomb: Deeply relaxed through the childhood years”, in which she deals in detail with the challenges of bringing up children. The work has already appeared in four editions and is largely based on her numerous blog posts on the subject. In March 2020 her second book “Thirty minutes, but then it's over! With children deeply relaxed through the media jungle ”, which deals with the topic of children and digital media. The book will be included in the Spiegel bestseller list in the non-fiction paperback category in the first week of its publication.

In June 2020 her third book "Get out of the mental load trap: How a fair division of labor succeeds in the family" will be published by BELTZ-Verlag. Cammarata coined the term "Mental Load" in Germany and made it known and gives pragmatic tips in her book on how responsibilities and to-dos can be fairly shared within the family. Cammarata is one of the first to sign the Equal Care Manifesto, which calls on decision-makers in business, science and politics to campaign for a fair distribution of care work, income and assets.

Cammarata has several children and lives in Berlin.
