Patricia Owens

Patricia Owens (born January 17, 1925 in Golden , British Columbia , Canada , † August 31, 2000 in Lancaster , California , USA ) was an American actress .

Life

She made her film debut in 1943 with Miss London Ltd. But she only played her first major role in 1957 on the side of James Mason and Joan Fontaine in Hot Earth . In the same year she got the female lead in Sayonara as a partner of Marlon Brando . A year later she had a huge hit in the horror film The Fly . She was also seen alongside Robert Taylor and Richard Widmark in the western The Hanged Man's Treasure . At the end of the 1950s, the artist was also seen in TV productions such as Smoking Colts , Perry Mason and, most recently, in Lassie in 1968 . In 1958 she was nominated for the Laurel Award .

Patricia Owens was married to screenwriter Sy Bartlett . Her father Arthur Owens was a double agent for the Security Service during World War II.
