Patrick Cohën-Akenine founded a class for baroque violin at the Charles Munch Conservatory in 1996, he taught at the “École Nationale de Musique d'Orsay” in Paris until 2008 and then at the “Ecole Nationale de Musique de la Vallée de la Chevreuse”

On behalf of the Center musique baroque de Versailles (CMBV) he works with an ensemble to recreate the original sound of the string orchestra of the French kings, the Vingt-quatre Violons du Roy .

In recent years there has been an increasing interest in scenic performances, for example in 2008 he conducted Didon and Aeneas by Purcell at the Opéra Bastille , in 2009 Acis et Galatée by JB Lully and in 2010 a performance of the opera “Tancrède” by André Campra is planned.

Several times he was asked by "modern orchestras" such as the "Orchester des Pays de Savoie" or the Orchestra of the Rouen Opera to familiarize the musicians with essential elements of historical performance practice on modern instruments.
