Patrick Falk (born April 20, 1974 in Berlin ) is a former German basketball player who was in the squad of the Korać Cup winner Alba Berlin in 1995 when a German club team won the first European Cup .
Life
Falk comes from the youth work of TuS Lichterfelde, he was German champion with TuS Li in various youth classes. The youth national player was then with a double license as part of a cooperation agreement from 1992 in the squad of the first division club Alba Berlin. After TuS Li's promotion to the second division in 1993, the team was looked after by player-coach Emir Mutapčić and, in addition to Falk, had various other double licensors in the squad such as Sebastian Machowski , Drazan Tomic and Alexander Frisch or later Mithat Demirel and Stipo Papic . After Alba won the Korać Cup in 1995, Falk left Berlin and moved to the first division club MTV 1846 in Giessen . Here, too, he did not achieve the breakthrough he had hoped for, so he moved further south to league competitor SV Tally from Oberelchingen . With this club he took part in the Korac Cup twice more without being able to repeat the successes with Alba. In 1999 the Elche withdrew from the Bundesliga for financial reasons and henceforth cooperated with the regional competitor SSV 1846 from Ulm . Falk, the versatility, a good distance throw and the defense work, was in the first division squad of Ulm in the 2000/01 season , but could not prevent the club's relegation, which was associated with considerable financial difficulties. Falk then returned to Berlin and became a youth coach at ALBA, where he subsequently acquired, among other things, the A-trainer license. Falk is a cousin of the former American football player Wanja Müller .
