The patrol boat class P400 (Patrouilleur type P400) is a class of small deep sea patrol boats of the Marine nationale française , which were put into service from 1986. It was developed for police operations in France's Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and built by the Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie shipyard. Two of the ships are in service with the Gabonese Navy . All ships of the P400 class are or were used in the French overseas territories (DOM / TOM). At a speed of 15  knots , the range is 4200  nautical miles .

The ships were built between 1983 and 1990. In France, only the two boats La Glorieuse (P686) and La Moqueuse (P688) are still in use, and their retirement is scheduled for 2020.

A69 (Classe d'Estienne d'Orves) Avisos were procured to replace them between 2011 and 2017.
