Patty Dodd (born July 29, 1963 in Bogotá as Patty Orozco ) is an American volleyball and beach volleyball player of Colombian origin.

Career hall

Patty Dodd played volleyball and basketball in her Colombian homeland in Bogotá in her youth . There she was the top volleyball player in high schools and was also used in the national team. In 1980 she came to the USA in California and then played for four years with the UCLA Bruins , with whom she won the NCAA championship in 1984. In 1987 and 1988, the external attacker played with the Los Angeles Starlites in the professional US major league.

Career Beach

From 1985 to 2000 Patty Dodd was on various US beach volleyball tournament series. She took part in 143 tournaments with over 20 different partners. In 1989 she dominated the WPVA tour when she and the Brazilian Jackie Silva won eleven tournaments. In 1999 Dodd took part with Karolyn Kirby at the World Championships in Marseille and reached 25th place. After the end of her active career, Patty Dodd works as a beach volleyball trainer.

Private

Patty Dodd has been married to beach volleyball player Mike Dodd since 1986 . They have two daughters and live in Manhattan Beach .
