Paul Almond

Paul Almond OC (born April 26, 1931 in Montreal , Québec , † April 9, 2015 in Los Angeles , California ) was a Canadian screenwriter , film director and film producer .

From 1955 Almond worked for television, it was not until 1968 that he made his first feature film. For the film The Act of the Heart , he received the Canadian Film Award for best director .

From 1967 to 1973 he was married to Geneviève Bujold , with whom he had a son. Almond died on April 9, 2015 at the age of 83 in Beverly Hills of complications from a heart attack .
