Paul Edward Waldschmidt

Paul Edward Waldschmidt CSC (born January 7, 1920 in Evansville , Indiana , USA ; † October 20, 1994 ) was an American religious and auxiliary bishop in Portland, Oregon .

Life

Paul Edward Waldschmidt joined the religious order of the Congregation of Holy Cross at and received on 24 June 1946, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On November 28, 1977, Pope Paul VI appointed him . the titular bishop of Citium and ordered him auxiliary bishop in Portland, Oregon. The Archbishop of Portland, Oregon, Cornelius Michael Power , donated him episcopal ordination on March 2, 1978 ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Helena , Elden Francis Curtiss , and the Bishop Emeritus of Arecibo , Alfredo José Isaac Cecilio Francesco Méndez-Gonzalez CSC.

On January 8, 1990, Paul Edward Waldschmidt resigned as auxiliary bishop in Portland, Oregon.
