Paul Hösli (born March 15, 1951 in Netstal , Canton Glarus , hometown Netstal) is a Swiss politician of the Christian Democratic People's Party (CVP) in the canton of Glarus.

Career

Paul Hösli was born on March 15, 1951 in Netstal as the oldest of three children. He spent his childhood in Riedern . His parents ran a butcher's shop and the Schwert restaurant there. After compulsory schooling in Riedern and at the monastery school in Näfels , he trained as a civil engineer at the engineering school in Rapperswil . He then worked for Eternit AG in Niederurnen for eight years . Paul Hösli has lived with his family in Niederurnen since 1985. He is co-founder and co-owner of the engineering office Wickli + Hösli AG. He has been married for more than 25 years and has four grown children.

From 1997 to July 31, 2009 Paul Hösli was a member of the Glarus District Administrator . He was involved in various sectors: education policy (Education Act Commission), transport policy (Transport Commission), financial policy, building construction commission (cantonal buildings).

From 1995 to 2011 Paul Hösli led the Niederurnen school as school president. In 1986 he was elected to the school board of the Niederurnen school.
