Paul Hart (administrative officer)

Paul Hart (born November 24, 1884 in Klein Ulbersdorf , Groß Wartenberg district , † January 31, 1970 in Berlin ) was a German administrative officer and politician.

Life

After high school, Hart studied economics at the University of Berlin and in 1905 joined the local government of the city of Charlottenburg . In 1919 he moved to the Prussian Ministry of Welfare . In 1921 he became mayor of the town of Oebisfelde in Altmark and from 1922 until his dismissal in 1933 he was mayor of Meseritz . During the time of National Socialism he worked as a syndic in industry.

After the end of the Second World War , he was initially employed in the church's financial administration, and later a consultant and department head at the city of Berlin. From 1949 on, he was first senior magistrate director of the Labor Department of the Berlin Magistrate and was then appointed by the first Berlin Senate as Senate Director (now State Secretary ) to the Senator for Labor.

Paul Hart died in Berlin at the end of January 1970 at the age of 85. His grave is in the state-owned cemetery Heerstraße in Berlin-Westend .
