Paul Heinrich Simon

Paul Heinrich Simon (born October 30, 1912 in Regensburg , † October 26, 1978 there ) was a German educator and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Simon worked as a substitute teacher from 1934 to 1938 and then became a teacher at an elementary school. He did voluntary service in the Reichswehr in 1934/35 and took part in the Second World War as a soldier from 1939 to 1945 , most recently as a lieutenant in the reserve. At the end of the war he was captured by the United States. He later returned to the school service, became the main teacher in Maxhütte-Haidhof in 1951 and had been the rector of elementary schools since 1958.

Political party

Simon joined the SPD in 1946. From 1948 to 1951 he was chairman of the SPD district association Parsberg and from 1969 to 1971 chairman of the SPD district association Burglengenfeld . In 1971 he was elected chairman of the SPD subdistrict Schwandorf .

MP

Simon had been a member of the Burglengenfeld district since 1952 and, after the local reorganization, in 1972, a member of the Schwandorf district . He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1969 to 1976. He entered parliament through the Bavarian State List .

Public offices

Simon served from 1960 to 1969 as deputy district administrator of the Burglengenfeld district.
