Paul Iacono

Paul Stanley Iacono (born September 7, 1988 in Secaucus , New Jersey ) is an American actor and dramaturge . He was best known to a German audience for his role in the comedy series The Hard Times of RJ Berger , which was broadcast on MTV from August 22, 2010 to May 31, 2011 .

Life

Paul Iacono was born to Italian parents in Secaucus, New Jersey.

Iacono had his first TV appearance in 1995 in the US soap opera Another World , in which he played the seven-year-old Jake Jr. In the same year he was diagnosed with leukemia. Paul Iacono attended Manhattan High School of Performing Art and graduated in 2006. After numerous supporting roles in theater, film and television as well as some appearances on talk shows , Iacono had his first international appearance in the film Fame as Neil Baczynsky in 2009 . He achieved a certain degree of notoriety and his final international breakthrough in 2010 through the MTV-produced TV series The Hard Times of RJ Berger , in which he played the lead role, the unpopular teenager RJ Berger.

In addition to acting, Paul Iacono writes plays. His latest is "Prince / Elizabeth", with Taylor Momsen and Connor Paolo from "Gossip Girl".

Iacono is openly gay after he came out while promoting his latest MTV project Kenzie's Scale in April 2012.
