Paul John O'Byrne

Paul John O'Byrne (born December 21, 1922 in Calgary , † September 2, 2004 ) was Bishop of Calgary .

Life

Paul John O'Byrne was ordained a priest on February 21, 1948 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Calgary on June 20, 1968. The Apostolic Delegate in Canada , Emanuele Clarizio , consecrated him bishop on August 22 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Joseph Lawrence Wilhelm , Archbishop of Kingston , and Michael Alphonsus Harrington , Bishop of Kamloops .

He resigned from his office on January 19, 1998.
