Francis Joseph Klein

Francis Joseph Klein (born August 6, 1911 in Sedley , Saskatchewan , Canada , † February 3, 1968 ) was a Canadian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Calgary .

Life

Francis Joseph Klein received on 2 September 1934, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 28, 1952, Pope Pius XII appointed him . to the Bishop of Saskatoon . The Archbishop of Toronto , James Charles Cardinal McGuigan , donated him episcopal ordination on April 30 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Regina , Michael Cornelius O'Neill , and the Archbishop of Winnipeg , Philip Francis Pocock . The inauguration took place on May 8, 1952.

Francis Joseph Klein attended all four sessions of the Second Vatican Council . Pope Paul VI appointed him Bishop of Calgary on February 25, 1967.
