The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Toronto ( Latin Archidioecesis Toro Tina , English Archdiocese of Toronto ) is one in Canada located diocese of the Roman Catholic Church .

It was formed from the Archdiocese of Kingston on December 17, 1841 , and Michael Power was installed as its first bishop. It covers the western half of Upper Canada .
