The Archdiocese of Regina ( Latin Archidioecesis Reginatensis , English Archdiocese of Regina ) is a in Canada situated Roman Catholic archdiocese , based in Regina .

history

The Archdiocese of Regina was established on March 4, 1910 by Pope Pius X from the cession of territory of the Archdiocese of Saint-Boniface as the Diocese of Regina . On December 4, 1915, the Diocese of Regina by Pope Benedict XV. raised to the archbishopric. The Archdiocese of Regina gave up on January 31, 1930 parts of its territory to establish the Diocese of Gravelbourg . On September 14, 1998, part of the territory of the dissolved Gravelbourg diocese was re-annexed to the Archdiocese of Regina.
