Emanuele Clarizio

Emanuele Clarizio (born May 18, 1911 in Milan ; † April 16, 2001 ) was a Roman Catholic Curia Archbishop and Prefect of the Administration of Property of the Apostolic See .

Life

Emanuele Clarizio was ordained priest on December 7, 1933 in Rome . Pope Pius XII awarded him on January 4, 1945 the honorary title of Surplus Secret Chamberlain of His Holiness ( Monsignor ) and on October 7, 1953 the title of House Prelate of His Holiness .

On October 5, 1961 he was by Pope John XXIII. Appointed Titular Archbishop of Claudiopolis in Isauria and Apostolic Nuncio in the Dominican Republic . He was ordained bishop by Cardinal Secretary of State Amleto Giovanni Cicognani on October 21 of the same year. In 1967 Pope Paul VI called. Clarizio as Apostolic Delegate in Canada . In 1969 he was appointed titular archbishop of Antium and appointed pro-nuncio in Canada.

From 1970 to 1986 he was Pro-Prefect of the Pontifical Council for Pastoral Care for Migrants and People on the Move . On November 17, 1982, Pope John Paul II appointed him President of the Administration of Goods of the Apostolic See and on December 20, 1992, he accepted his resignation due to reasons of age.
