Paul Krüger (born June 17, 1903 in Wiesbaden , † December 16, 1990 ) was a German trade union official and politician ( KPD ) and a former member of the Hessian state parliament .

Life

Paul Krüger, the son of a woodworker and an ironer, attended the civil engineering college after elementary school and worked as a site manager and union secretary. Since 1921 he was a member of the German Construction Trade Association . In 1927 he became a surveyor's assistant.

Paul Krüger was a member of the KPD and sub-district leader of the RGO in Wiesbaden. From 1930 to 1933 he was a city councilor in Wiesbaden for his party. With the seizure of power of the Nazis , he was arrested on March 4, 1933 and by December 1933 the prison and the concentration camp Esterwegen detained. After his release, he worked illegally for the KPD. From August 1935 to October 1938 he was again imprisoned in the Esterwegen concentration camp and later in the Sachsenhausen concentration camp . Until 1945 he worked under police supervision as a construction technician.

After the end of the Second World War , he worked from 1945 on rebuilding the KPD and the trade union organization in Wiesbaden. From 1946 he was a full-time trade union secretary and a member of the State Board of Hesse of the KPD .

From February 26, 1946 to July 14, 1946, Paul Krüger was a member of the appointed advisory state committee and from July 15, 1946 to November 30, 1946 of the state assembly advising the constitution . In the first electoral period from December 1, 1946 to November 30, 1950, he was a member of the Hessian state parliament.

Paul Krüger worked as the executive secretary of ÖTV Wiesbaden and later as legal protection secretary . Even after leaving the state parliament, he consistently remained a member of the KPD. He was transferred from the main board of the ÖTV for this reason, but remained a full-time union employee. In 1959 he became deputy managing director of ÖTV Frankfurt.
