Paul Machliss
Paul Machliss (born April 2, 1972 in Melbourne ) is an Australian film editor .
Life
Machliss has been working in the field of film editing since the late 1990s . Since the early 2000s he has been involved in television series as an independent editor. In 2001 he was involved in several episodes of the series Spaced and cooperated for the first time with director Edgar Wright .
Since 2010, starting with Scott Pilgrim against the rest of the world , he has also worked with Edgar Wright on his film projects. His work includes around 50 productions.
In 2011 Machliss made his directorial debut with the documentary Dylan Moran: Yeah, Yeah .
For his work on Baby Driver , he and Jonathan Amos were nominated for an Oscar in the Best Editing category. The two also received a number of other nominations and awards, including the British Academy Film Awards 2018 .
