Paul Martinius

Paul Martinius (born January 13, 1855 in Halle (Saale) , † December 1, 1923 in Frankfurt (Oder) ) was a German district administrator.

Life

After the secondary school leaving certificate , Paul Martinius studied law at the universities of Halle and Tübingen and passed the examination for trainee lawyer at the Naumburg Court of Appeal on November 7, 1877 with the result "according to regulations", where he was also employed as trainee lawyer. Three years later he was introduced to the Erfurt district government as a government trainee and after two years he was transferred to the Bromberg district government . In 1883 he passed the exam for a court assessor with the result "sufficient" and was appointed court assessor at the Merseburg district government . On the 7th nomveber 1886 Martinius was transferred to the District Office Hagen and on April 1, 1887 entrusted with the municipal administration of the District Office Schwelm and in the same year definitively appointed District Administrator of the Schwelm District.

At his own request, he was on January 5, 1890 to the district government Kwidzyn added, and here for the Governing Council appointed. He stayed here until he was transferred to the Frankfurt (Oder) district government on May 30, 1896. He was dismissed from civil service on December 29, 1919 because he had reached the age limit.

Politically, he was conservative and a declared opponent of the Progress Party .
