Paul Mason (Bishop)

Paul Mason (born November 6, 1962 in North Shields , Great Britain ) is a British clergyman and Roman Catholic military bishop of Great Britain .

Life

Paul Mason received the sacrament of ordination for the Archdiocese of Southwark on July 25, 1998 .

On 23 April 2016 it appointed Pope Francis to the titular bishop of Skálholt and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Southwark . He was ordained episcopal on May 31 of that year by the Archbishop of Southwark, Michael George Bowen . Co- consecrators were Archbishop Emeritus of Westminster , Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor , and John Hine , Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Southwark.

On July 9, 2018, Pope Francis appointed him Military Bishop of Great Britain. The inauguration took place on September 12 of the same year.
