Paul Niederberger (born December 5, 1948 in Büren NW ; resident in Dallenwil ) is a Swiss politician ( CVP ) and a member of the Council of States .

Life

From July 1986 to April 1996, the qualified expert for accounting and controlling was a member of the district administrator of the canton of Nidwalden . In 1996 he was elected to the government council of the canton of Nidwalden and re-elected in 2002 and 2006. During this time he served as governor, finance and deputy economics director. After his election to the Council of States in 2008, he resigned from his executive office.

Niederberger has represented the canton of Nidwalden in the Council of States since December 3, 2007 . As part of his parliamentary work, Niederberger is a member of the Security Policy Commission, the State Policy Commission and the Business Audit Commission. He is also Vice-President of the Delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly .

Niederberger lives in Büren, is married and has two children.
