Paul Plut

Paul Plut (* 1988 in Schladming ) is an Austrian singer , musician and composer as well as the front man of the German pop band Viech . Plut also runs his solo project Paul Plut .

Life

Paul Plut grew up in Ramsau am Dachstein . In 2006 he recorded his first solo album with singer-songwriter Philipp Szalay ( Farewell Dear Ghost ) and became part of the band. During his studies in Graz , he produced experimental works such as ton: education, a reaction to student protests. In 2011 he founded the German pop band Viech together with Andreas Klinger . In 2013 he founded the blues-punk band Marta in Vienna .

In 2017 Plut released his solo debut album Songs from Dancing and Dying . The work has been described as “dark gospel in the Styrian dialect” and received several positive reviews.

Paul Plut composed the music for the literary performance Mobility goes abstract 2010 at Ars Electronica (with Alexander Micheutz and Mia Zabelka ). In 2018 he produced the music for the HP Lovecraft film adaptation Das Bild im Haus . In 2019, together with Kerosin95, he composed the music for director Sara Ostertag's world premiere Haummas net sche? in the Volx / Margareten.
