Paul Salvator Goldengreen , even Paul Salvator Gold Green (* 27. August 1960 in Warburg as Paul Ricken ) is a German painter.

Live and act

In 1984 Goldengruen - after training as a retail salesman from 1976 to 1979 in Warburg and basic military service in Münster and Lüneburg (1980/81) - obtained the Abitur in the second educational path at the Westfalen-Kolleg Paderborn . He then studied biology in Münster and Bielefeld from 1985 , as well as English studies at the same time , but did not finish his studies.

Goldengruen overcame a mental illness that developed after his mother's death in the mid-1990s with the help of artistic work. He sought a further development of oneself and of the recipient in the art and through art. In doing so, he clearly stood out from the positions of state-bound art , an expression coined by Leo Navratil . After overcoming the mental illness, he refined the artistic technique while maintaining the spontaneity typical of Art brut .

Exhibitions and works

Goldengruen is featured in the curated Internet exhibition Gallery Of Inspiration , organized by the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation (North America). Although it ultimately emerges from art therapy , this context is opened up through its representation on “Artecomunicarte” (Central America, Spanish).

In April 2007, Goldengruen was involved with 20 paintings in the Outsider Art Market , which was held for the first time in the Prinzhorn Collection in Heidelberg . His work “The Primordial God” was donated to the Prinzhorn Collection Museum. From October 26, 2008 to January 11, 2009, Goldengruen took part as a guest at the “2008 Annual Outsider Art Exhibition” at the Kunsthaus Kannen .

His work includes around 500 mostly large-format pictures, which are characterized by expressiveness and richness of color and often have cryptic symbolism, as well as mostly smaller sculptures and around 200 poems that deal with landscape and nature as well as one's own psyche.
