Paul Zurmühlen

Paul Zurmühlen (born October 9, 1828 in Münster , † April 1897 in Ahaus ) was a German judge and a liberal member of the Reichstag of the North German Confederation and the Customs Parliament .

Life

Paul Zurmühlen attended high school in Münster and studied law in Bonn and Berlin . He then was auscultator and trainee lawyer in Münster from 1851 to 1858 . From 1859 to 1864 he was an assessor in Münster, Ahaus and Schwelm . In 1864 he became a district judge in Ahaus.

From 1867 to 1871 Zurmühlen was a member of the First Ordinary Reichstag of the North German Confederation for the Münster 1 constituency ( Tecklenburg , Steinfurt , Ahaus ). In the Reichstag he was non-attached and was viewed as a "liberal". In this capacity he was also a member of the Customs Parliament from 1868. From 1866 to 1870 he was also a member of the Prussian House of Representatives , in which he represented the same constituency as in the Reichstag; he also remained non-attached in the House of Representatives.
