Paula Trueman

Paula Trueman (born April 25, 1897 in New York City , † March 23, 1994 ) was an American actress .

Life

After graduating from Hunter College , Paula Trueman studied dance at the Neighborhood Playhouse . She then made her debut in the revue The Grand Street Follies , before she appeared on other stages and appeared in Kiss and Tell, For Love or Money and Sweet and Low , among others . At the same time, she also starred in films; In addition to a major lead role in the tragic comedy The Street of Evil , she took on roles in films such as The Women of Stepford , The Town Neurotic and Dirty Dancing .

Trueman was married from 1936 to the New York architect Michael Sterne, with whom she had a stepson. On March 23, 1994, she died of old age.
