Paulo Miranda , real name Jonathan Doin (born August 16, 1988 in Castro , Paraná ), is a Brazilian football player who plays as a central defender for Gremio Porto Alegre .

Career

Paulo Miranda played in his youth for the clubs Iraty SC and Desportivo Brasil , where he finally signed his first professional contract in 2008. Over the next few years, Miranda was awarded several times to different clubs and was able to gain some experience in professional football.

In 2011 he moved to São Paulo FC , where he became an established player in the team. A year later he won the Copa Sudamericana with his team, with his team defeating the CA Tigre in the final.

Trivia

Miranda got his nickname while at Iraty SC. At the time, a coach found that his maiden name did not fit a defender and began to name him after his then more famous compatriot Paulo Miranda , a defender.
