coat of arms
Pautzfeld, a place dominated by agriculture in the past and present, has been under the rule of the Bishop of Bamberg since the 14th century . This historical component is represented in the municipal coat of arms by the reduced Bamberg lion . The harrow in the lower half of the shield serves as an indication of agriculture as the dominant economic factor. The two stars were chosen as symbols of Mary to represent the parish with the Marian patronage , which has been documented since 1370 .
