Kreuzberg is a Franconian wasteland that belongs to Hallerndorf .
geography
The wilderness in the natural landscape of the Bamberg Rhaet-Lias hill country is one of nine officially named districts of the municipality of Hallerndorf in Upper Franconia . It is located about two kilometers west of the center of Hallerndorf at an altitude of 334 m above sea level. NHN .
history
The pilgrimage chapel on the mountain, which was previously known as Hohenrode or Hohenroth , was built in 1463 on the site of a previous building that was mentioned in a document as early as 1430. As a result of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the wasteland became part of the independent rural community of Hallerndorf with the second municipal edict in 1818 . In 1987 Kreuzberg was uninhabited and there was no residential building.
traffic
A community connecting road branching off from Kreuzbergstraße to the west of the outskirts of Hallerndorf leads to Kreuzberg, where it ends at a parking lot immediately west of the village. From the northwest, the village can be reached from the FO 10 district road via a dirt road that also ends at a parking lot. The wasteland is not connected to public transport , the nearest train station on the Nuremberg – Bamberg railway line is in the Eggolsheim district of Neuses .
The Franconian Marienweg runs through Kreuzberg .

There are seven listed buildings in and around Kreuzberg, including a pilgrimage church and the cellar buildings of the brewery.
