Club career

Pavel Krmaš learned the soccer game in the youth departments of Slovan Broumov (1986-91), TJ Náchod (1991-94) and SK Hradec Králové (1994-98). In 1999 he joined Admira / Slavoj Prague and switched to Sparta Prague in 2001 , where he was used in the B team in the third Czech division. In the 2002/03 season Krmaš played for his former youth club SK Hradec Králové before returning to Sparta Prague. In 2003, Krmaš made three appearances in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League , helping his club advance to the round of 16.

In February 2004, after only three league appearances for Sparta, he moved to the league rivals FK Teplice and completed 86 league games for the club by 2007. For the 2007/08 season Krmaš moved to Germany in the second Bundesliga to SC Freiburg to replace the central defender Youssef Mohamad , who had switched to 1. FC Cologne . From this point on, Krmaš was a regular in the central defensive position. After the 2014/15 season, he actually planned to end his career after his contract in Freiburg expired. In his last game for Freiburg on the last day of the match, Krmaš became a tragic figure when he sealed Freiburg's relegation from the Bundesliga with an own goal.

At the beginning of July 2015 it was announced that he had refrained from the idea of ending his career and signed a one-year contract including an option for another with the Czech second division club SK Hradec Králové ; Krmaš comes from the youth of the club. In July 2016, he finally ended his career.
