Pavlo Tymoschtschenko ( Ukrainian Павло Тимощенко ; born October 13, 1986 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Ukrainian pentathlete .

Life

Pavlo Tymoschtschenko took the first time in 2008 at the Olympic Games in part, he finished at the end of the seventh. In 2012 he did not get past a 23rd place. He achieved his best result at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro when he won the silver medal.

At world championships , Tymoschtschenko initially won several medals in relay and team competitions. In 2008 he became vice world champion with the team, in 2010 in the mixed relay. In 2015 he became world champion in singles ahead of Alexander Lessun . At the European Championships in 2013 he won the mixed relay title.

Tymoschenko is a police officer.
