Pavel Alexandrovich Duma ( Russian Павел Александрович Дума ; born June 20, 1981 in Karagandy , Kazakh SSR ) is a former Kazakh ice hockey player .

Career

Pavel Duma started his career in 1998 at Neftechimik Nizhnekamsk . In the 2000 NHL Entry Draft , the Vancouver Canucks selected him in the fifth round in 144th place. His other positions were Ak Bars Kazan , Molot-Prikamje Perm , Neftjanik Almetjewsk , Disel Pensa and HK Brest . Duma has been under contract with his current employer HK Sary-Arka Karaganda since 2006. In the 2009/10 season he won the Kazakh championship with the team.
