Pawel Artemjewitsch Sergijew ( Russian Павел Артемьевич Сергиев ; born February 9, 1951 ) is a Russian ambassador .

Life

Paul Artemjewitsch Sergiev is married and has two daughters. In 1973 he graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations and entered the foreign service. Until 1974 he was employed at the UN headquarters . From 1976 to 1980 he was employed in Beijing . From 1982 to 1987 he was employed in Mexico City . From 1991 to 1995 he was a civil servant in Havana . From 1998 to 2002 he was Consul General in Santiago de Cuba . From 2003 to 2007 he was Minister Counselor in the Latin America Department in Moscow. From July 27, 2007 to February 21, 2011 he was Ambassador to Georgetown , Guyana and was also accredited to Kingstown , St. Vincent and the Grenadines and St. George’s Grenada . From October 24, 2007, № 1411, he was also Ambassador to Port of Spain with the same official seat . From August 27, 2008 he was also ambassador in Bridgetown , Barbados, with the same official seat . On February 21, 2011, he was appointed Ambassador to Bogotá by decree № 208 .
