Pawel Valeryevich Borodin ( Russian Павел Валерьевич Бородин ; born October 2, 1972 in Michailowka , Bashkir ASSR ) is a Russian archery biathlete .

Pavel Borodin was one of the most successful archery biathletes in the second half of the first decade of the 21st century. The Russian achieved his first great success when he won the silver medal in the pursuit race at the 2005 World Championships in Forni Avoltri behind his compatriot Igor Borissow and ahead of the German Edmund Martin . In addition, he was appointed to the Russian relay and won the gold medal as a starting runner together with Vladimir Evtjukow , Igor Samoilow and Maxim Menshikov at the last time the competition was held. At the last World Championships in Moscow in 2007 , he won the sprint race ahead of Konstantin Pogorelow and Hiroyuki Urano . A year later, Borodin won medals in all three competitions at the European Championships in Moscow in 2008 , the last international championships to be held so far. First he won the bronze medal in the sprint behind Andrei Michailow and Vladimir Evtjukow, as well as in the pursuit race behind Evtjukow and Michailow. In the mass start race, Borodin was runner-up in Europe when Kirill Malzew won .

Borodin studied at the Bashkir State University in Ufa and became a biathlon trainer.
