Pawel Dmitrijewitsch Tschuiko ( Russian Павел Дмитриевич Чуйко ; born September 18, 1979 ) is a Russian skeleton athlete .

Pavel Chuiko lives in Yekaterinburg . He contested his first international race in 2008 in Winterberg , where he finished 19th. In the same month, four races later, he achieved his first top ten finish in tenth place. In January of the following year, he finished sixth, making it a single-digit place for the first time. In between was participation in the 2009 Junior World Championships at Königssee , where Tschuiko was tenth. At the start of the 2009/10 season , the Russian just missed a podium finish in fourth place. Two races later he was third behind Alexander Kröckel and Christian Baude in Altenberg . In the first six of the eight races of the season Tschuiko came in single digits, the last two races he finished in eleventh and twelfth places. In the overall standings, the Russian came fifth. He started the 2010/11 season in the Skeleton America's Cup . In both races he missed his first victories as second behind Alexander Kröckel. He then moved up to the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup and was 18th at the season opener in Winterberg. In the further course of the season, he was able to improve to 13th place in the following three races. Nevertheless, at the end of 2010 he rose again to the European Cup.
