Pedro Beltrán contested his first international races in 2010 in Altenberg in a race in the IBU Cup and finished 124th and last in the sprint. His best result so far he achieved a little later than 90th in an individual in Nové Město na Moravě . He started in August 2010 at the Biathlon South American Championships in Portillo and Bariloche . In the championship, which was held as a racing series, Beltrán was 13th of the individual in Portillo and third behind Marco Zúñiga and Julio Castañeda in the sprint race, also behind Castañeda and Zúñiga in the mass start. Like all Chileans, he did not compete in the races in Argentina because of an earthquake in their homeland. In the overall standings, which only included three races, he finished sixth. In 2011 he took part in the open European biathlon championships in Ridnaun and came 67th in the sprint.
