Pedro Omar (born October 8 or October 10, 1898 in Zárate , Buenos Aires , † July 16, 1974 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine football player and coach .

Omar, who has played the position of right-back throughout his career, began playing football for a club in Buenos Aires in 1916 . In 1917 he joined CA San Lorenzo de Almagro and played there until 1930. According to other sources, he played in 1919 for Club Atlético Atlanta . 1931 also recorded two games for the CA River Plate .

During his time at San Lorenzo de Almagro, his club won the Argentine championship of amateur football three times in 1923, 1924 and 1927 and also reached the runner-up championship in 1925 and 1926. There were also two Copa Aldaos in 1923 and 1927 that followed the championships .

National team

Omar also played for the Argentine national soccer team (three international matches).

Trainer

From 1943 to 1947 Pedro Omar worked again for San Lorenzo de Almagro, this time as a coach, and led the club to the cup victory in the first year and to the first championship in ten years in 1946, including the (shared) victory in the Copa Aldao. But then he withdrew from football.
