Peer Knöfler (born March 25, 1968 in Hamburg ) is a politician of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany (CDU) and has been a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament since 2017 .

Life

Knöfler grew up in Hamburg and passed his Abitur there in 1987. From 1988 to 1991 he completed an apprenticeship as a car mechanic and then studied professional education and sports science . Since 1999 he has been a senior teacher at a vocational school in Kiel (until 2006), at the vocational schools in the OH district in Eutin and has lived in Großenbrode since then .

Knöfler is married and has two daughters and a son.

Political honorary and main office

In 2002 Knöfler joined the CDU and in 2006 became a community representative in Großenbrode. Since 2008 he has been a member of the official committee of the Oldenburg-Land office and until 2018 the local CDU chairman in Großenbrode. Since 2013 Knöfler has also been chairman of the building and environmental committee of the community of Großenbrode. Since 2013 he has been chairman of the supervisory board of Großenbroder Tourismus Service und Grundstücks GmbH (GTS). From 2013 to 2018 he was a member of the district council of the Ostholstein district and was there a. a. Member of the Committee for Planning and Economics, the Committee for Building, Environment, Transport and Nature, the Fehmarnbelt Committee and the Fehmarnbelt Business Committee.

On May 7, 2017, in the state elections in Schleswig-Holstein 2017, he won a direct mandate and entered the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein with 40.6% of the first votes in the state constituency of Ostholstein-Nord . There he is chairman of the education committee, member of the petitions committee and a deputy member of the economic and European committee and acts as spokesman for vocational education and training of the CDU parliamentary group.
