Peggy Saunders
Peggy Saunders Michell (born January 28, 1905 in Chiswick , Middlesex , England , † June 19, 1941 in Harrow , Middlesex, England) was a British tennis player from England.
Career
Peggy Saunders won in the years 1928 and 1929 with her compatriot, the successful tennis player Phoebe Holcroft Watson , the competition in the women's doubles of the Wimbledon Championships . They defeated Eileen Bennett and Ermyntrude Harvey in the 1928 final 6-2, 6-3. The following year the pairing repeated their success, they retained the upper hand in the final against Phyllis Covell and Dorothy Shepherd-Barron 6: 4, 8: 6.
