As a 2512 m high mountain, the Peischelspitze is the namesake of the Peischel group in the Allgäu Alps .
Location and surroundings
The north ridge connects the Peischelspitze over the Hochalpscharte with the Hohe Licht rock massif . The Klotzemannscharte in the south-west ridge separates the mountain from another neighboring peak , the Ellbogner Spitze , and the Wilde Kasten joins the ridge that runs eastwards .
The notch height of the Peischelspitze is at least 72 meters, its dominance 700 meters, whereby the Ellbognerspitze is the reference mountain in each case .
Ascent
The Peischelspitze can be climbed from Oberellenbogen in a good 4 hours. The path leads first over a forest road and later on a path through steep, wooded terrain to the saddle level. From there it goes pathless into the Peischelkar and into a ridge gap east of the summit, then onto the ridge and in alpine difficulty UIAA I in a channel to the summit.
